Faith Baptist Church - Longmont CO

Our History

“For we walk by faith, not by sight” is the principle from God’s Word upon which Faith Baptist Church was founded.

On February 18, 1962, the first meeting of what was to become Faith Baptist Church was held and on February 21, the church was officially organized with Pastor Roland Andrews serving as the pastor until 1965.

Dennis Walton then became the pastor and steady growth soon overtaxed the Coffman Street facilities. On November 8, 1970, the congregation moved to a newly-constructed auditorium and educational wing at 833 15th Avenue. Additional building programs followed and in the fall of 1971, the educational ministry of Faith Baptist School began. Faith Baptist School now comprises all grades from Kindergarten enrichment through high school and is an integral part of the growing ministry of Faith Baptist Church.

From March of 1978 until 1997, Dr. Marion Fast was the pastor. Rick Cross, after serving as youth pastor since 1987, became the pastor and continues until the present.

Faith Baptist Church continues to “walk by faith, not by sight” and the blessings of God continue to be evidenced throughout each ministry.
